Christmas at five rivers
Decoration Day
November 24, 2024, after morning gathering
Join us for lunch (on us) and then help us decorate our space for the Christmas season. We need lots of hands to help with:
- getting decorations out of storage
- setting up trees
- hanging garland and lights
- hanging wreaths
- lots of other miscellaneous decorating tasks
Lunch will be served after our morning gathering in The Tank (the large room in our kids area). We will begin decorating after lunch.
There is no need to register for this event. Just show up and lend us your time and energy!
Family Tree Trim Party
December 6, 2024
This annual tradition has come to be a very special part of the Christmas season at Five Rivers. It's a time for our church family to share a meal, sing some carols and trim the Five Rivers family Christmas tree.
We trim the tree using ornaments supplied from our families. Each family is encouraged to bring an ornament that represents something special or significant to them this Christmas season. They explain the significance or meaning of their ornament and hang it on the tree.
This is a great opportunity to spend time getting to know your church family while reflecting on the meaning and importance of the Christmas season.

Youth Christmas Caroling

Over the last few years, Caroling around the neighborhood and drinking hot cocoa has been a traditional favorite with our youth group. We also want to invite all our youth parents to come along for the fun. So, Let’s Go Caroling and spread some Christmas Cheer!
Christmas Eve Service

Invite your family and friends to join us for our annual Christmas Eve service. Each year, we sing Christmas music, tell the Christmas story and enjoy candlelight as we celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Home For Christmas Challenge

This year, we are encouraging our Five Rivers family to try something different. On Sunday, December 29, we are encouraging our families to take a Sunday and invite others to spend some time with them this Christmas season. We all get busy, and it can be hard to find space in our busy schedules to share our time, energy and love with others.
So, this year, were are taking a Sunday "off" from our normal Sunday activities so you can invite others to share some time with you and your family.
Whether you invite them to your home or take them out lo brunch, lunch or dinner, this is a great opportunity to personally invest some time and energy into others this Christmas season. So, join us in celebrating Christmas At Home this year!
